Hanging Shoes
I keep walking pass these shoes and have been compelled to photograph them. I don't know why. And I wanted, again, a film feel - this is emulated Cinestill. Taken with 50mm 1.4 lens with on camera flash (which for me is a huge NONO but not this time).
Some thought on what this photo does for me
Symbolic Interpretation:
Abandonment & Exhaustion: The shoes, once full of movement and purpose, now hang motionless. They could symbolize fatigue, the end of a journey, or a state of waiting.
Transition & Passage of Time: Shoes are intimately tied to movement and progress. Hanging them up suggests a pause, retirement, or even the conclusion of a significant chapter.
Survival & Resilience: Despite their worn-out state, the shoes remain intact, hinting at endurance and perseverance.
Loss or Memory: Shoes in this context can carry a ghostly, almost memorial quality. They could represent someone absent, a past life, or an event that left a mark.
